Well this looks like a problem from upstream... nothing I can do on my end... as this package just downloads the deb file and extracts it. You may be able to compile it yourself and create a jupyterlab-desktop-git package. But it is also possible that I miss a dependency.
Besides I don't encounter the problem after I updated my system today.

Just updated all my packages and after rebooting I get an error with some shared libraries on jupyterlab-dsektop startup:
Here is what I get from journalctl:

I recently found a way to download to an unique file name (per version). Updates should now be easier as the clean install is not necessary anymore.
Schmetzler commented on 2023-11-28 08:34 (UTC)
@ltr01 If you just want to change it for yourself you can always edit the PKGBUILD file. Just change the value pkgver and set the sha256sums to SKIP. Then it should work.
I am not always up to date with the new version. If I recognize it and someone tells me I try to update quickly.

Hello Can someone update this to the latest version, 4.0.7-1? Even better, if someone could show me how, I would do it. Thanks!

For me, the checksum problem was solved with just cleaning the pamac cache (Manjaro).
Schmetzler commented on 2023-05-17 08:25 (UTC)
For all that have problems with the checksums. Please make a clean install as the file downloaded has the same name on every release. So your aur manager thinks the file is already there and checks the old file.

I think the sha256sum needs an update

I've updated the package to 3.6.3-2. You can merge this if you wish.

@pdimens Maybe you have old build files (as the name for the downloaded file did not change) it works as expected on my machine.
