You are right, I have been a bit neglient here. I'd suggest keeping the package, but the internal plugin system seems to be working reliably enough as well…? I'll update it right away, and then disown.

there heve been several new releases https://github.com/openjverein/jverein/releases

are you gonna keep up or should we install jverein via the plugin system of jameica?

@jonnybash: Thanks for the hint. Looking at the posts it seems credible enough to take it as new upstream (mainly due to OlafWilluhns involvement), so I will change package asap. Please bear with me, might only happen on the weekend.

apparently the developer of hibiscus is involved, so this looks kinda official (enough).

seems jverein works without libstdc++5, so this (now) AUR dependency can be dropped.

It appears that the upstream build is broken as it contains the source files but no packaged jar-file. With the fix from 2018-01-03 the package build succeeds but jamaica cannot open the plugin.

I would recommend to switch to the non-git upstream update mirror: http://www.jverein.de/updates/2.8/
