I get the following error at installation:

==> Validating source files with md5sums... jvlt-1.3.3.jar ... Passed jvlt.png ... FAILED jvlt.sh ... Passed jvlt.desktop ... Passed ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! -> error making: jvlt-exit status 1

Not at my arch machine at the moment, you could try to add noextract=(jvlt-1.3.3.jar) to the PKGBUILD.

ant should be in your path after you install it and relogin.

"ant dist" Command not found Error If I use apache-ant-dev package other errors occur. (Linking Errors)

Your tarball has some issues. Binaries are usually frowned upon. Take for example: jvlt/jvlt-128x128.png jvlt/jvlt-16x16.png "Just an icon" you say, but maybe you should ask upstream to include it. Please correct this.
