@ahxxm @guiniol @frankspace:
Updated to v2.41

ahxxm commented on 2017-04-16 05:03

v2.41 was released in Feb, still under maintenance?

FacuTuesca commented on 2017-01-08 00:26

Sorry for the delay. I'm having trouble compiling the new versions of k2pdfopt with gocr 0.50. I'll upload the new version as soon as I find a solution.

guiniol commented on 2017-01-04 16:31

@FacuTuesca: as frankspace said, the version is now up to 2.36 and it includes support for linux. Could you update it?

frankspace commented on 2016-12-13 07:42

It's actually up to verion 2.36 now, but I can't flag it out of date because it's already flagged out of date.

FacuTuesca commented on 2016-07-16 17:23

To the user that flagged 2.34a as out of date:
According to the software's website, 2.34b is a Windows-only release:

"K2pdfopt v2.34b released. This release fixes two more MS Windows bugs. The Linux and Mac versions are not affected (still v2.34a)"

Also, this software includes patches for both mupdf 1.8 and gocr 0.49, so those are the versions that have to be used.

@psamim:
Fixed, thanks.

psamim commented on 2016-07-16 06:07

Thanks for packaging,
I cannot compile I get the following:

/usr/bin/ld: build/debug/mutool: hidden symbol `opj_setup_decoder' isn't defined
/usr/bin/ld: final link failed: Bad value
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [Makefile:250: build/debug/mutool] Error 1
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
Aborting...

@Eschwartz:
Fixed, thanks.

Eschwartz commented on 2016-03-22 04:21

cp -r ${srcdir}/${pkgname}_v2.34/* "${srcdir}/${pkgname}_v${pkgver}"

This overwrites the 2.34a updates (so you end up with only the original v2.34 source). Use cp -rn (--no-clobber the updated v2.34a files) instead.

@krant:
Fixed, thanks.

krant commented on 2016-03-21 07:08

k2pdfopt_v2.34a_src.zip has wrong md5sum.

FacuTuesca commented on 2015-07-29 20:00

@RonObvious:
Fixed, luckily I had the zipped source on my hard drive. Thanks!

RonObvious commented on 2015-07-29 18:18

Broken, at the moment. The web site http://www.willus.com/k2pdfopt/ seems to be down -- which means that makepkg downloads the error page (html) when it tries to download the file k2pdfopt_v2.32_src.zip (which then fails to pass verification, logically enough)... Wonder if there's a mirror somewhere (quick web search turns up nothing, apart from a 2 year old githup copy, but I didn't really look that long or hard).

FacuTuesca commented on 2015-04-13 21:49

@noalwin:
You're right, a recent update of jbig2dec (a mupdf dependency) broke the PKGBUILD. It is now fixed.
Thanks!

noalwin commented on 2015-04-13 21:24

Thanks for the PKGBUILD, but it doesn't seem to compile:

In file included from source/fitz/filter-jbig2.c:3:0:
/usr/include/jbig2.h:39:21: error fatal: memento.h: No existe el fichero o el directorio
#include "memento.h"

"No existe el fichero o el directorio" means file not found

Maybe there is an aditional dependency...

noalwin commented on 2015-04-13 21:21

@libertas:
I can't seem to reproduce your issue. Try checking the log file and see where the compilation is failing.

libertas commented on 2015-04-01 04:19

Thanks for your work.
I've met the following problem.However,I have a g++ that works well.

checking for g++... g++
checking whether the C++ compiler works... no
configure: error: in `/tmp/yaourt-tmp-libertas/aur-k2pdfopt/src/tesseract-ocr':
configure: error: C++ compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details

@runical:
Done, thanks!

runical commented on 2014-07-26 17:30

Can you please add cmake as a makedepend? It will not build without it.

spider-mario commented on 2014-06-13 15:08

Oh, ok. :)

Thanks for responding so quickly.

FacuTuesca commented on 2014-06-13 15:07

Fixed the mupdf link. Also, 2.17a is a Windows-only bug fix, so it's exactly the same as this one.
Thanks

spider-mario commented on 2014-06-13 15:03

Also, 2.17a is out.

spider-mario commented on 2014-06-13 15:03

mupdf needs to be taken from http://mupdf.com/downloads/archive/mupdf-1.4-source.tar.gz , as the current URL (without the `archive` bit) results in a 404 response.

FacuTuesca commented on 2014-06-13 15:01

Bumped pkgrel to force reinstall, after leptonica update broke the program.

FacuTuesca commented on 2014-04-18 15:18

@dlh:
You are missing the base-devel package. Install it and try again.
