The latest code cannot be compiled with usual libkcddb, it requires a fork: https://github.com/isoft-linux/libkcddb

EDIT: They've spotted the mistake: https://github.com/KDE/k3b/commit/f5fceb01d1a897731b2bd4251a2c6d0a383cedcc

Thank you @sl1pkn07. It seems the package was upgraded to the most recent version after reinstalling it, but it was the only way to upgrade k3b-frameworks. Much obliged

k3b-frameworks-git can't find MPEG codecs from libmad package and always after launch K3B frameworks I have warning about missing this.
Anyway:
$ pacman -Ql libmad
libmad /usr/
libmad /usr/include/
libmad /usr/include/mad.h
libmad /usr/lib/
libmad /usr/lib/libmad.so
libmad /usr/lib/libmad.so.0
libmad /usr/lib/libmad.so.0.2.1
libmad /usr/lib/pkgconfig/
libmad /usr/lib/pkgconfig/mad.pc

Note: k3b from extra repos (KDE4) working like a charm and don't promt any issue.

k3b-git E: Mime type handler found. Add "update-desktop-database -q" to the install file
k3b-git E: Dependency musicbrainz detected and not included (libraries ['usr/lib/libmusicbrainz.so.4'] needed in files ['usr/bin/k3b'])
k3b-git E: Dependency k3b detected and not included (libraries ['usr/lib/libk3bdevice.so.6', 'usr/lib/libk3blib.so.6'] ...)

So, add update-desktop-database -q to the install file, musicbrainz to the dependencies and provides=('k3b').

@yaheen, if you want to tell me something, just leave a comment. What is the point of flagging one -git package as out-of-date, again and agin?

It's "git://anongit.kde.org/k3b" - not "git://git.kde.org/k3b". That's the reason for the timeout.
