I get the following when trying to build with yay:

=> Making package: kdevelop-go v5.2.1-1 (Fri 24 Sep 2021 10:50:32 AM -03)
==> Retrieving sources...
-> Cloning kdev-go git repo...
Cloning into bare repository '/home/vendion/.cache/yay/kdevelop-go/kdev-go'...
fatal: remote error: Please use the https: protocol to connect to anongit
==> ERROR: Failure while downloading kdev-go git repo
Aborting...

Also seeing as how this has been flagged out of date since 2019 and the last comment was from 2020 is this abandoned by the maintainer?

This works for me when using the current master instead of the specified commit and additionally passing -DBUILD_TESTING=OFF to cmake.

Still getting a build error reported by Kicer on 2018-11-02:

/var/tmp/pamac-build-.../kdevelop-go/src/kdev-go/build/parser/goast.h:27:38: error: ‘KDevelop::ReferencedTopDUContext DeclarationBuilder::build(const KDevelop::IndexedString&, go::AstNode*, KDevelop::ReferencedTopDUContext)’ marked ‘override’, but does not override

still can't build

Kicer commented on 2018-11-02 07:35 (UTC)

There is a build error:

makepkg/kdevelop-go/src/kdev-go/build/parser/goast.h:27:38: error: ‘KDevelop::ReferencedTopDUContext DeclarationBuilder::build(const KDevelop::IndexedString&, go::AstNode*, KDevelop::ReferencedTopDUContext)’ marked ‘override’, but does not override

It used to work, so I guess some kdevelop's headers have changed.

  • Removing kdevplatform from "depends"
  • Adding extra-cmake-modules inside "makedepends"
  • Set the git checkout to this commit 8d48bb4145e40102f11b2876837ca7a182ef867a

And it works for me on kdevelop 5.2.1
