The pkgver should prefix with a revision number as described in the wiki article VCS Packaging Guidelines under section git - SHA hashes are not sequential so if one goes from e.g. 343434 to 121212 it is incorrectly considered a downgrade.

@saxa I created the package after your comments, that's why you didn't see it at the begining. Good to know it works.

@dbermond aye, the kdotool package works. My auto-completion didn't offer it, so I thought only kdotool-git exists.

@saxa Please try the kdotool package to see if it works.

Would like to install this as I need it for some scripting tasks, however I'm getting a build error: failed to run custom build command for cargo-husky v1.5.0. Tried cleanbuild and --rebuild on a freshly updated and restarted machine.

@FreePenguin try to force an upgrade to the package with your AUR helper (paru -Syuu or something similar). Your issue may be related to a previous issue that's been fixed. Please let me know if that fixes it. Also, apologies for the delayed response, but I couldn't do it faster due to health reasons.

AUR helpers keep reinstalling this version since pkgrel of a package differs from the PKGBUILD Package: 0.2.1.e2f468b-1 PKGBUILD: 0.2.1.e2f468b-4

All good. Thanks.

@xircon the issue appears to be fixed. Please let me know if it persists on your side.

As of today, the package keeps reinstalling the same version over and over again.
