Please bear in mind that there's no versioning in the file name anymore. Every next version will require the user to delete KeePassRPC.plgx manually before running makepkg, or checksumming will fail (and you might get questions about that in the future).

I like gamezelda's idea of using the Github-hosted release version KeeFox's site links to at http://keefox.org/upgrade (https://github.com/kee-org/keepassrpc/releases/download/v1.7.3.1/KeePassRPC.plgx) rather than the one hosted at the Mozilla Add-ons site. The URL scheme is much more straightforward, for the sake of upgrading.

Keefox 1.7.2 is out, the version from here (1.7.0) is not working anymore. Please update!

Not sure if this is why it worked for me but I realized a directory being created /usr/share/keepass/Plugins The RPC plugin was in /usr/share/keepass/plugins So I copy the plugin to Plugins and it worked. I also installed keefox via the source link above. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/420502/keefox-1.6.0-tb+fx-linux.xpi?src=api Edit: Oh~ nvm. It was because the upstream link was on the older version of keefox. I had to set auto updates off for keefox. Then this plugin worked. I guess the out of date flag is correct. Current keefox doesn't work with this plugin.

And after installing the Firefox plugin, I had to set the location of KeePass to /usr/share/keepass instead of /usr/share/keepass/plugins.
