This is a dummy package to ease finding and fixing AUR packages affected by the KF5-package rename. See the "Required by" list above. This package is not meant to be installed.

To expedite updates, I'd suggest flagging packages with non-optional depends. Competent maintainers will fix the packages promptly, rather than complain about flags.

Packages that build with Qt5 or list other Qt5-related depends need to be updated.

Packages that no longer build with KF5/Qt5 (require Qt6), and do not have any other Qt5-related depends, may not need to be updated.

In reply to the deletion request:

So keeping the non-suffixed names to mean the KF6 variant is proper. This dummy package makes one think that there is some problem with that, but there isn't.

The introductory comment makes clear that some packages may not need to be updated. Even if the maintainers of such packages receive unnecessary requests, there is no harm in reviewing packages that have not been updated for years.

And anyhow, dummy packages should not be used for tracking reverse dependencies, because these packages would just break builds and runtime libraries if ever installed.

The AUR is full of broken, dangerous packages. Users are expected to exercise judgement when selecting packages to install.

A package titled "dummy" is clearly intended to have no real functionality. The introductory comment makes clear this package is not intended for installation. A recent update makes this package impossible to install without explicit user intervention.

The VCS packages for KDE Frameworks and KDE Plasma components can serve the same purpose ('tracking') while also not providing any disfunction to AUR.

There are several hundred packages that need to be reviewed. Tracking them across 70 separate pages is impractical. There are still broken KDE 4 packages that could have been updated or deleted years ago if they had been tracked early. Before KF6 launches on the official repos is the best time to take care of these packages. Doing so will have beneficial effects on the AUR, which will last until the KF7 migration.
