I got the same not found error for .dropbox/aggregation.dbx but the client is working quite fine.

Dinir commented on 2016-04-11 01:15 (UTC) (edited on 2016-04-11 23:58 (UTC) by Dinir)

I got this error message ""/home/dinir/.dropbox/aggregation.dbx" was not found" in console and tray icon says "Can't monitor Dropbox folder (Click to fix) Can't access Dropbox folder".

What am I supposed to do after installing? It's not showing up in my taskbar yet.

ava1ar commented on 2016-02-04 05:00 (UTC)

I created a separate package for the qt5 branch: Please check and let me know how is it. I tried on my laptop - works fine.

thisischrys commented on 2016-01-23 13:47 (UTC) seems to be the new qt5 branch

Bazon commented on 2015-05-06 04:17 (UTC)

OK, found a solution for the wrong tray-status-images: Change into another Desktop Environment (e.g. XFCE), start Dropbox there, access Dropbox settings and set Dropbox language to english. Change back to KDE and the tray-status-images are right.

Bazon commented on 2015-04-18 05:58 (UTC)

For me, the "everything updated and al-right" tray-status-image is the box with the RED dot. I think that should be green? Has someone a way to fix it? I haven't found the image in the pkgt after makepkg, other ways I would have manipulated that image. See

FadeMind, What did you fix there?

FadeMind commented on 2015-03-02 10:34 (UTC)

ava1ar commented on 2015-03-02 09:32 (UTC)

Switched to the forked version, which works more or less fine with the current dropbox versions.

I should have tried building with your suggested fix first ;-) Thank you, package updated.

shaddow commented on 2013-08-20 10:05 (UTC)

I tried it with yaourt and makepkg after downloading & extracting the tarball manually. Yes, I've set custom SRCDEST=/home/$USER/.sources and SRCPKGDEST=/home/$USER/.srcpackages via /etc/makepkg.conf, but had no problems with building other AUR packages. It gets downloaded to the SRCDEST (i.e file:/home/$USER/.sources/kfilebox-0.4.9.tar.gz. In your build function you cd inside the SRCDEST, why would you need to add "../" to the gunzip command if you're already inside the dir where the file lies? Doesn't it build for you anymore with the change?

commented on 2013-08-19 15:31 (UTC)

Sorry, I can't reproduce this behavior. Did you download kfilebox' sources separately or did you do it via makepkg? As far as I understand the output you provided, it seems that the package source archive has been downloaded to "srcdir" (this should be the src subdirectory) instead of "startdir" (directory where makepkg is called) and I currently can't figure out how this can happen.

shaddow commented on 2013-08-19 14:48 (UTC)

Didn't build for me: Retrieving sources... -> Found kfilebox-0.4.9.tar.gz ==> Validating source files with md5sums... kfilebox-0.4.9.tar.gz ... Passed ==> Extracting sources... -> Extracting kfilebox-0.4.9.tar.gz with gzip ==> Removing existing pkg/ directory... ==> Starting build()... gzip: ../kfilebox-0.4.9.tar.gz: No such file or directory I had to change line 21 from 'gunzip -f "../${pkgname}-${pkgver}.tar.gz"' to 'gunzip -f "${pkgname}-${pkgver}.tar.gz' to make it work.

The PKGBUILD needs to be updated to use qmake-qt4 instead of qmake.

I made the the 0.4.9 a few months ago, but was too lazy to release it. (Was lazy to create aur account). Here you go. The change was a 'hack' it might not work for the future versions nicely.

Teyro commented on 2012-07-16 14:59 (UTC)

Hi! I tryed to make an 0.4.9 Package but it didnt compile :(

Raymondcal commented on 2012-06-07 12:49 (UTC)

ava1ar commented on 2012-04-16 12:10 (UTC)

Hi, few weeks ago I switched from this service to pure dropbox client with customized icon set, so I am orphaning this. If somebody still using it, please adopt. Thanks!

box0 commented on 2012-04-16 10:59 (UTC)

hi, looks like version 4.9 is out:

melandrien commented on 2012-01-27 22:31 (UTC)

Works like a charm on fully updated system. I even double checked whether what's stored in dropbox folder gets properly uploaded and vice versa, everything seems to work. The only problem I have is that after reboot it seems to forget the path I set in preferences, so the "open dropbox folder" doesn't work, but uploading still works. No idea why, dindn't find anything in config file. Probably is a software bug, unrelated to arch

commented on 2012-01-26 06:23 (UTC)

Can anybody use this software on newest arhclinux? It will crash after startup....

Diego commented on 2011-12-12 23:51 (UTC)

PS... who are you?

Diego commented on 2011-12-12 23:49 (UTC)

nope... from this version I can't open the folder from the menu. Also if I set the location of the folder create software crash

ava1ar commented on 2011-12-12 19:43 (UTC)

cdprincipe, you are, but now context menu opens on both left and right mouse button clicks. If you click "Open Dropbox folder" it opens without issues. Looks like this is functionality change since previous version, not a build issue.

Diego commented on 2011-12-12 13:42 (UTC)

Works well but You can not open the folder from the icon in systray

ava1ar commented on 2011-12-12 03:48 (UTC)

Updated, please test and leave your feedback. Thanks.

I found that traditional chinese translation file (under /locale/zh/tw) doesn't installed properly in the installation. PKGBUILD should add this line: "install -m 644 -p -D ${srcdir}/${pkgname}-${pkgver}/locale/zh/tw/ ${pkgdir}/usr/share/locale/zh_TW/LC_MESSAGES/" and also the file "" needs update.

Madek commented on 2010-11-30 13:22 (UTC)
