@hobarrera: By "it" I mean the PKGBUILD as whole, not make man || true. Please read my comment. It will still fail, because the man page was never made, due to line 57, doing: install -D -m644 doc/build/man/khal.1 "${pkgdir}/usr/share/man/man1/khal.1"

Why does "make man || true" fail if khal is not installed? It should never fail, under absolutely any condition.

dvzrv commented on 2015-08-30 11:27 (UTC)

@hobarrera: Na, it fails, if khal is not installed yet. When not making the man page, install of the man file would of course have to be circumvented, too.

Maybe use `mane man || true`, so that it builds in scenarios where possible, but PKGBUILD does not fail if building the doc fails? Sort of a "best effort" thing.

@milouse: Seems for now you should drop the man page generation: https://github.com/geier/khal/issues/154 Also: you can drop all unneeded comments in the PKGBUILD file.

hmm, this doesn't build for me, because the make man fails. It will only work, if khal is already installed. Otherwise the "import khal" in doc/config.py will make it fail. Maybe there's a way to exclude the man page generation or to fix it upstream?

python-pkginfo is a runtime dependency as well.

@milouse yaourt works fine with AUR4 if you add this option: '--aur-url https://aur4.archlinux.org/'

@milouse I haven't pushed it to AUR3, nope. I actually already uninstalled the tools I used for that already, and it'll get dropped completely in a few days, so there's really no big fuzz. Sure, I can co-maintain this if you like. I follow upstream very closely, so it won't be an issue.
