@the_isz regarding playing netflix (or any DRM stuff), this is most likely because you are using the widevine download from inputstreamhelper? That will not work on arm64. Use widevine from here:

https://codeberg.org/mogwai/widevine (it's sadly not on the AUR anymore)

After installing that package you need to link it in the kodi dir, like so (as root):

rm /var/lib/kodi/.kodi/cdm/libwidevinecdm.so
ln -s /opt/WidevineCdm/chromium/_platform_specific/linux_arm64/libwidevinecdm.so /var/lib/kodi/.kodi/cdm/libwidevinecdm.so

After that disable widevine update notifications from inputstreamhelper.

Hi @acidicX,

thanks for your input! I have been using mogwai's widevine version for quite some time.

The issue I was having early November was fixed with the upstream changes to inputstream.adaptive.

Best regards and thanks for adopting the package!

Build issues are fixed upstream with v21.5.18-Omega, previously a patch was required.

I've managed to compile it following this advice: https://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=16830&p=72344&hilit=no+omit+leaf+frame+pointer#p72344

I removed both the -fno-omit-frame-pointer and -mno-omit-leaf-frame-pointer from the CFLAGS array of /etc/makepkg.conf

I modified the package so that it compiles on my RPi 4. You can find it for 6 days here: https://filebin.net/0a1v91pkko5z2kcu/kodi-addon-inputstream-adaptive-any-21.5.16-1.src.tar.gz

@ivanich: Feel free to upload the package.

Unfortunately, Kodi Netflix addon still doesn't play videos, even with this version :(

Hi. Build for the latest version (21.5.13-1) fails for me.

Full error: https://pastebin.com/BJGkTsCi

I lack the knowledge to troubleshoot/fix. Any suggestions?

the_isz commented on 2024-04-06 12:00 (UTC)

@ivanich: Nevermind :)

I removed -mno-omit-leaf-frame-pointer from the CFLAGS variable in /etc/makepkg.conf and now the package builds (using makepkg directly instead of using an AUR helper).

Since I didn't change anything in that file, I guess it's a bug in the default version of the file provided by the pacman package for armv7h.

@ivanich: On archlinuxarm (rpi4=armv7l) the sources fail to compile with the following error message:

cc: error: unrecognized command-line option ‘-mno-omit-leaf-frame-pointer’; did you mean ‘-fno-omit-frame-pointer’?

Is there something you can do about this or does this have to be fixed upstream?
