1: you need to see if you can have the AUR maintainers merge the packages (or rename the package itself without having to create a new one) 2: you should be dropping a comment on the old package to let us know you made this change - I was checking that package looking for an update and not seeing anything.

If need to upgrade... # sudo komodo Then: Help > Check for Updates Make sure you click restart when requested after upgrade download.

Komodo 8.0.1 available for Windows at least. If linux isn't available yet, it should be shortly.
