There are a more universal way to disable internal updater, just add these lines to package():

mkdir -p "$pkgdir/etc/kotatogram-desktop"
echo "/usr/bin/kotatogram-desktop" > "$pkgdir/etc/kotatogram-desktop/externalupdater"

After that prepare() isn't needed

@figue i'm sorry i was wrong. for some reason my kotatogram.desktop has Exec=kotatogram-desktop -externalupdater option added. So i checked your pkgbuild and i didn't see the sed command very well and i though you added it.

@glats why you want the externalupdater? Only in case you start it with root privileges you can update with the builtin option... It has no sense.

Also, edit manually PKGBUILD or make a custome desktop file if really you want that start without that option.

Cheers

Pleas remove -externalupdater option. After removed it appears in the menu. (rofi in my case)

Now linux binary is an AppImage, I think you need to add: options=(!strip)

Hello, the tray icon and window app icon is the Telegram official under XFCE, is there any way to change it to Kotatogram's icon?
