I have removed a workaround which I thought to be unnecessary due to my other error. I reported this 2.5 years ago. It is a python syntax change. By now the all distros should be using compatible versions of python, so reporting it again might be good. Readded the workaround for the time being (the sed invocation in the PKGBUILD)

can't print documents, seems like "erml2pdf.py" doesn't start, same issue is reported in the mailgroup, any idea? p.

seems some paths are a bit messed up, you have to edit the PKGBUILD to make it work - some places ${pkgname}-${pkgver} is missing ... thx still for doing this, p.

Thanks for reporting. I couldn't reproduce the bug with the locale when building under LC_ALL=C. I patched around the other bug and will it send upstream later.

In following up on compiling Kraft on Arch through the Arch User Repository (AUR) I encountered the following issues: Kraft seems to depends on ctemplate 2.2 and not 2.3 but the package in AUR is 2.3 ctemplate refused to build until I exported LC_ALL to a UTF8 locale, for example: export LC_ALL='en_US.utf8' Kraft would refuse to build because it is calling a deprecated and removed member "ReloadIfChanged" - See texttemplate.cpp at line 150 Once I edited tmpl->ReloadIfChanged(); to tmpl->ReloadAllIfChanged(); Kraft built successfully and seems to run just fine.

A patch is needed to do the following: Edit texttemplate.cpp at line 150 and change ReloadIfChanged to ReloadAllIfChanged Then kraft can use ctemplate 2.3

snassar commented on 2014-05-14 09:23 (UTC)

Kraft 0.54 cannot build with ctemplate 2.3 since since the deprecated Template::SetEscapedValueAndShowSection() and Template::ReloadIfChanged() were removed.

kraft need python-pypdf to print document

We could try continue to solve this via email/xmpp. You can find my mail address on my aur page. Yours seems pretty invalid :-) It would also be better for exchanging files (we don't want python code with wrong spaces)
