CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:36 (find_package):
By not providing "FindKWinEffects.cmake" in CMAKE_MODULE_PATH this project has asked CMake to find a package configuration file provided by "KWinEffects", but CMake did not find one.

Could not find a package configuration file provided by "KWinEffects" (requested version 5.27.0) with any of the following names:

KWinEffectsConfig.cmake
kwineffects-config.cmake

Add the installation prefix of "KWinEffects" to CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH or set "KWinEffects_DIR" to a directory containing one of the above files. If "KWinEffects" provides a separate development package or SDK, be sure it has been installed.

You did not actually bump the version. The source still points to the old commit hash 1c9fc49b53fedc95b1e4d0cd651b844c552974d3. You can grab the versioned tarball from https://github.com/zzag/kwin-effects-yet-another-magic-lamp/archive/refs/tags/5.23.0.tar.gz

@cziss I'm guessing you are on Manjaro, the new package can only be built against kwin 5.21, so it's marked as kwin>=5.21.0. Hold updating this package until you get plasma 5.21

@michaldybczak I bumped the package to the latest commit in the repo that does compile with plasma 5.21.

I just updated to Plasma 5.21 and as usual, the effect doesn't work. I tried to recompile it but get compilation error :(. Probably because kwin was heavily changed in this edition, even re-written anew in some parts?
