Just a huge thank you to everyone involved. Owner of a Haswell refresh intel cpu, it's been so many years my kwin has been suffering from glitches, non refreshing windows, freeze when blocking compositing (this still happens but I can now disable "allow apps to block compositing" and benefit from unredirection, means smooth video).
Hey @tildearrow, I realize you're probably working on 5.24, but you should change one of the upstream kde depends to require an equal version, so people don't automatically update when a major release comes out (like now)
@ThatOneSeong Thank you for the bug report! 5.23.3-4 coming shortly with a fix.
@tildearrow I've checked again and it seemed redirection was having trouble with some effects (Effect blocks DS). Sure enough, the "Dim Inactive (Window)" effect was the culprit and disabling it enables redirection to work properly. This was even with the "Fullscreen windows" for that effect turned off.

@ThatOneSeong Yep, I haven't released 5.23.3-3 yet with the new options. I'll do that soon (need to work on the last one). Haven't done NVIDIA testing since I put my NVIDIA card away and it's hard to get it back...
Options didn't seem to work with the AUR package as-was, needed to remove most of prepare() to forcibly the repo at its current state to get all the options.
And even then, I can't even tell if it's having an effect on my system...? Using NVIDIA if that matters.
Hey, might I suggest replacing pipewire-media-session in the depends to pipewire-session-manager. This is functionally the same thing, because that's what pipewire-media-session provides, but it also allows using wireplumber instead of pipewire-media-session. They both list pipewire-session-manager in their Provides=.
