Installed this a couple days ago and it seemed fine, but if I save my pattern (as a .kxs file) and try to open it in the program I get this error:
"The file does not appear to be a recognized cross stitch file."

Hey, I created a Flatpak package for KXStitch, it’s available on Flathub: https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.kde.kxstitch
It’s partly based on this package and it should be fully working, I’d however appreciate any testing; it’s hard to test out everything. Thanks!

I've moved off of arch for my daily driver needs (so I've dropped myself as co-maintainer). I'm still using kxstitch, just not on arch.
Best of luck!

You have to setup the page first, at the top of the print/page setup dialog there is a "..." buttun (upper left) that if you hit that it will setup the page for printing.

I have updated the package with a patch that should fix the import issue. I have mailed the patch to the mailinglist as well. If this creates a different issue/you don't want it you can always comment out the line applying the patch.

Could this be the reason that the Library hasn't been working too? Time constraints have prevented me from really working with KXStitch fully since I moved to manjaro, but I have tried to use the Library feature, and it hasn't worked since moving to manjaro from debian.
Thanks!

That appears to happen to me as well, I tried downgrading image/libmagick and that made import work again via downloading from archive and installing/downgrading by hand
