@kaptoxic,

There is a GUI in the source, but it was not being installed by the package.

However to use the GUI I had to install python2-pyside from the AUR, which took some time to build along with its dependencies (15-20 min), and was a big package as well (40+ Mb).

So if you want to use the GUI you can build and install the dependencies, and copy LMT.py from the gui folder in the source to your system, and run as sudo python2 LMT.py

The usb-autosuspend module was dropped by upstream and is now handled by the runtime-pm module. [1]

It has been removed from this package as well.

The usb-autosuspend module was deprecated by upstream and is now handled by the runtime-pm module. [1]

It has been removed from this package.

I checked the package's website, and the source code, but did not find any reference for a GUI.

Should not there be a GUI?

I simply removed an option in the make install line that removed the file /etc/init.d/laptop-mode, so that I can use it with OpenRC init system.

Don't think it makes any change for normal (systemd) users though, but I bumped pkgrel as I made changes in the PKGBUILD.

@aaditya, Thanks for the update, but could you explain your changes please?

https://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/aur-general/2014-January/026981.html may be of interest here, recommending TLP as a replacement for laptop-mode-tools:

Just as an FYI.
