sigplanconf.cls ... FAILED sigplanconf-template.tex ... FAILED sigplanconf-guide.pdf ... Passed sigplan-proc-varsize-package.tar.gz ... Passed ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build latex-template-acm. please update the md5sum list.

That's odd. I just regenerated the sums, but they changed again. Try this one (no version bump).

ACM SIGPLAN changed the location of their source files. This is followed by this package now.
