I thought python is added by other packages as a dependency. My bad.

Martchus commented on 2016-04-18 07:47

The Python scripts couldn't be executed because Python was not installed. I'd propose you add it to the make dependencies.

PlainTextField commented on 2016-04-17 19:11

Python is never mentioned in any of the Makefiles. Even the README file does not mention Python as a dependency. But 'gdbus-codegen' is in fact a python file which is executed during the build process. So in your case you need fix your python linking (check if /usr/bin/python can be executed, if not make a symlink) or set an environment variable during build (check https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=125112 for details).

Martchus commented on 2016-04-17 18:21

This seems to required python now, at least as make dependency.

I've managed to compile the package for Gnome 3.20 with just one small change to the PKGBUILD: At some point, the latexila.desktop file got renamed to org.gnome.latexila.desktop.

MarcusMoeller commented on 2015-06-30 11:28

Could you please add yelp as package dependency? It is required to view the help files.

JesusMcCloud commented on 2015-03-27 23:14

Would you kindly stop flagging this package out-of-date, as it is, in fact, as up-to-date as it can be: v3.16 requires gtk3-3.16, which has not yet hit the stable repositories.

Thanks

JesusMcCloud commented on 2014-11-05 00:29

not reproducible, sorry

strano666 commented on 2014-11-04 23:09

tells me that gtk+ 3 is <3.14, but i've installed the 3.14

JesusMcCloud commented on 2014-10-22 07:47

pkg-config is part of base-devel. As such it should not be a (make)dependency of any package (see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR#Getting_started ).

Kuci commented on 2014-10-21 20:44

Please, add pkg-config to the list of make dependencies.

JesusMcCloud commented on 2014-10-21 12:48

Please submit a bug report upstream, since that is the right place for it, not the AUR.

pokulo commented on 2014-10-21 12:43

latest version of latexila just crashes when right click on the document if spell check is enabled, simply because gtkspell checker couldn't find any dictionary. There was none installed. Somehow it was still possible to activate spell checking.

** (latexila:5665): WARNING **: document_view.vala:188: GtkSpell error: enchant error for language: en_US.UTF-8

** (latexila:5665): CRITICAL **: check_range: assertion 'spell->priv->speller != NULL' failed

I solved this crash by installing extra/aspell-en package...

Still the same problem :
"The compilation's comments don't appear in the debbug consol".

I reported the bug upstream. It will be corrected on the 3.14.1 release.

GordonGR commented on 2014-09-23 11:19

Please stop using these ">=" thingies. They don't work. I have, gtk3-noforcedcsd 3.12.2-2 which provides gtk3, and makepkg thinks there is an unfulfilled dependency. If one has an updated system (as they should, gtk 3.6 is ancient), then they can safely build the package.

Hello and thanks for update.

But there are a problem in Pkgbuild. The link is not correct.

Just modify the link "http://......" instead of "https://...."
Thus the good link download is :

See you.

Jodes commented on 2014-05-11 09:11

Hello.
The "minor" problem that i reported the 2014-03-16 persists. I'm in contact with Sébastien Wilmet to see if it can resolve the problem. It's very strange, this problem not exist with another Gnu/Linux distribution, than Fedora for example (perhaps with another).
Yesterday i transmitted a new track that could lead to a solution (may be).
At least I hope, because this minor problem is penible when we want find a warning or an error in latex compilation.

wolfgang42 commented on 2014-04-21 22:28

For spell checking, the package aspell-{language} (e.g. aspell-en for English) must be installed as well. If you don't have a language package, latexila will work fine, it just won't put red squiggles under misspelled words. Another symptom of this is the line "GtkSpell error: enchant error for language: en_US.UTF-8" printed out on startup.

Hello.

Installation is ok.
But i have a problem with this current version and the last too when i compile a tex file.
The compilation's comments don't appear in the debbug consol. Just an icon, an empty space instead of compilation's comments and the filename.
So, it's very dificult to locate the errors and warnings.
The same version works correctly in another distribution.

Thanks.

furthermore pkg-config is part of base-devel!

wifi commented on 2013-04-12 13:22

@JesusMcCloud: Sorry for my confusion about odd and even :(

JesusMcCloud commented on 2013-04-11 22:04

@wifi: 2.7 is not a stable release. If you need the latest and greatest, go for latexila-git as proposed by StefanHusmann

haawda commented on 2013-04-11 22:01

I'd like to throw "latexila-git" into the discussion. :)

wifi commented on 2013-04-11 21:39

But, it is possible to update to LaTeXila 2.7.0 using only stable dependencies.

JesusMcCloud commented on 2013-04-11 19:14

Since I am already getting emails about updating:
LaTeXila 2.8 requires gtksourceview3 >=3.8 which is not yet available in the stable repositories.
I am *NOT* going to update this package until gtk* 3.8 lands in the stable repositories.
un-flagging out of date.
As soon as the gtk* updates hit the stable repositories feel free to flag this package out-of-date again if I'm not quick enough to update it ;-)

Just to be clear: odd version numbers mean unstable/beta.
This package is _NOT_ out of date!
(I am telling you this, because I already got 3 out-of-date-notifications for v 2.2.2).

Even if it works nicely, please build beta versions yourself, it should only be a minor PKGBUILD edit

ITS Tool is in:

In AUR is in:

You should put that command in a .install file, so that it is run just after the package is installed / upgraded (maybe it would be better placed in the gsettings-desktop-schemas package).
