How about adding: if wget -q --max-redirect=0 --spider http://www.parallelrealities.co.uk/download/edgar/edgar-${pkgver}-1.tar.gz ; then source=("http://www.parallelrealities.co.uk/download/edgar/edgar-${pkgver}-1.tar.gz") else source=("http://www.parallelrealities.co.uk/download/old/edgar-${pkgver}-1.tar.gz") fi to replace the "source=..." line in your PKGBUILD Then the PKGBUILD won't break every time they update. I think that will work.
