WARNING: Lens has closed its source code

Lens has officially become a closed source application so this package will no longer be updated and may soon request to be removed from the AUR.

If you are interested in continuing to use Lens you can use the lens-bin binary package or, better, use an open source alternative such as k9s, kdash, Headlamp or Seabird.

Looks like the b2sum is wrong for version 6.1.0, it should be a9b64c89cddbce0cdb248b219c5f124ebe6606603ebb50c0600849fd3c3d3e2c326e8f3c9d6ce48909f8e40f0a84a4f48582280fa6a033eab123d076b463b9fe

WARNING: About Lens 6.3.0 and higher

Since version 6.3.0 OpenLens no longer includes the Node/Pod Menu extension to access logs and open a shell. You can re-enable it as follows:

  • Open OpenLens
  • Go to Menu, File, Extensions (or press CTRL+SHIFT+E)
  • In "Name or file path or URL" text box enter @alebcay/openlens-node-pod-menu and click Install
  • Restart OpenLens

Once you have restarted OpenLens go to Menu, File, Extensions again (or press CTRL+SHIFT+E) and make sure that the extension appears as enabled, if not enable it.

@wcasanova this is not an AppImage and icon is renamed to avoid conflicts.

WARNING: Version 6.3.0 is extremely buggy. It also loses quite a few features such as the ability to view pod logs or access them via shell. In principle the package will not be updated (for now) in order not to lose these features.

I will update this comment as we get more news.

@ogarcia could you change the icon name in the desktop-file to kontena-lens like in other packages. The current icon name conflict with MComix app https://github.com/PapirusDevelopmentTeam/papirus-icon-theme/issues/2469

@pacheco I can't adopt lens-bin package since is owned by @istimaldar_sntlk If he/she makes me co-maintainer I could help to maintain it.

Anyway you only need nodejs-lts-erbium to build lens. You can install devtools package and use extra-x86_64-build command to build lens.
