updated to 15.9
4.2 kernel is in [core] and we still don't have support for it.
So for now please use linux-lts kernel.

updated to 15.5-1 - AKA "nothing interesting":
- it doesn't support xserver 1.17
- looks older than ubuntu vivid driver which we are using ie in catalyst-test@AUR
- rel notes:

This version doesn't support radeons 2 3 4 k. Only newer lines.
I doubt that AMD will release any catalyst driver update for legacy radeons.

Does the 14.9-1 version fix the conflict with the mesa-dri package? If so, will this update be coming to the package in the catalyst-hd234k unofficial repository? I've been holding off on updating for about a week now. I may have to use the AUR catalyst packages until the ones in the unofficial repository are updated.

updated to 14.9-1:
- official, stable release

- it doesn't support xserver 1.16

- I added my fresh patch for kernel 3.17 rc6.
Notes about the patch:
1. it probably wont work on 3.17 kernels older than rc6 because I don't know how to tell preprocessor about rc version :P
2. im unable to test resume/suspend
3. im not the developer, just pressing random keys :P so the patch could be less/more noobish :-)

updated to 14.4-20 (catalyst 14.4 rev2):
- which brings some fixes for Witcher 2

updated to 14.4-11, catalyst 14.4 stable:
- xserver 1.15 support
(gotjazz wrote: little warning though - if you use xbmc, get sdl-nobackingstore from the AUR or you'll have tearing during video playback with xorg 1.15)
- many fixes here and there

lib32-catalyst-utils is now splitted into:

Symlinks of the package were modified to better suit to the mesa standard and fixed, unfortunatelly it caused a little problem, but simple - If you will see something like:
lib32-catalyst-utils: /usr/lib32/ exists in filesystem
lib32-catalyst-utils: /usr/lib32/ exists in filesystem
lib32-catalyst-utils: /usr/lib32/ exists in filesystem

there are three ways to fix it, every single one should work:
1st method:
if there's no more file conflicts you can use:
pacman -U --force
2nd method:
is to remove and install again lib32-catalyst-utils package
3rd method:
is to remove conflicting files manually, and then update

rebuild because of mesa 10.1.0-4 changes

Vi0L0 commented on 2014-03-15 16:58

mesa 10.1.0-4 is in [extra]
i updated main repos and AUR packages: catalyst-test, catalyst-total, catalyst-total-hd234k. I left AUR's catalyst-utils and lib32-catalyst-utils untouched for now because i gotta go. WIll update those later (probably tomorrow)...

Vi0L0 commented on 2013-12-19 21:45

Vi0L0 commented on 2013-11-18 19:44

silent update, no pkgrel bump:
- thanks to zoopp and his referer we no longer have to download installer manually :)

Vi0L0 commented on 2013-11-17 20:00

amd's site is not allowing direct download anymore...
read the top of PKGBUILD for instructions.

i also added symlink as sugested by lano1106:
/usr/lib32/ ->

Vi0L0 commented on 2013-10-28 18:59

I'm planning to update main repos, just not sure that I will make it today

LordAro commented on 2013-10-28 18:48

Vi0L0, If you haven't, can you update the catalyst repo as well? The same problem as moscar reported

Vi0L0 commented on 2013-10-28 18:23

thanks moscar, updated

moscar commented on 2013-10-28 12:44

I think this provides/conflicts with lib32-libcl

error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
lib32-libcl: /usr/lib32/ exists in filesystem
lib32-libcl: /usr/lib32/ exists in filesystem

$ pacman -Qo /usr/lib32/
/usr/lib32/ is owned by lib32-catalyst-utils 13.11-6

updated PKGBUIDL:
