It builds perfectly fine in a clean arch chroot, there's no reason why it wouldn't on an actual system. How are you building it?

Thanks for updating. However, please add lib32-gcc-libs to depends. Without lib32-gcc-libs, the build fails.

I had to comment out the check section of the PKGBUILD to get it built the first time. After I installed one copy, the check ran fine.
