This package is also required by lib32-gst-plugins-good.
I will have to remove both packages until this is fixed.

jack2-1.9.22-2 and pipewire-jack-1:1.6.9-1 are in conflict (jack). Remove pipewire-jack? [y/N]

I have to agree with all other comments as well. Considering this is used by CrossOver, this means this type of discussion will continue on.

The virtual packages are called correctly in optdepends but then falls apart on makedepends.

Please pardon my "me too" comment, but I'm affected as well. Only hard-code virtual packages when necessary.

The official 64 bit mpg123 depends on 'jack' instead of 'jack2': https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/mpg123/

It would stand to reason this package should follow the same, 'lib32-jack' instead of 'lib32-jack2' which both packages 'lib32-jack2' and 'lib32-pipewire-jack' do provide.

Second the comment by emphire, I use pipewire and I can't install this because I use pipewire and lib32-jack2 conflicts with lib32-pipewire-jack.

Could you please update the dependencies to use the virtual package lib32-jack instead of hardcoding lib32-jack2?

Hardcoding lib32-jack2 breaks builds for systems using PipeWire (lib32-pipewire-jack), which provides lib32-jack out-of-the-box. Updating depends/optdepends to reference lib32-jack allows both jack2 and pipewire-jack users to build smoothly without manual PKGBUILD edits. Thanks!
