The build currently fails because the protobuf version on arch is not supported yet. See

There is a patch from void linux that fixes this

@bluehood: Looks like a similar issue as, so I'll make the same suggestions as there: do you have an out of date version of sip and/or python-sip (possibly a version mismatch causes this?), and are you doing a clean install (makepkg -C)?

Please update to use protobuf instead of protobuf3. protobuf is now at 3.0.2. This avoids conflicts as other packages migrate to protobuf.
