Hello, Compiled it fine on i686, but meet the same issue than linuxSEAT on x86_64. --- ld: build/hijri.o: réadressage de R_X86_64_32 en vertu de « .rodata.str1.1 » ne peut être utilisé lors de la création d'un objet partagé; recompilez avec -fPIC build/hijri.o: ne peut lire les symboles: Mauvaise valeur make: *** [build/libitl.so] Erreur 1 --- Machine runs with kernel ARCH 3.8.4-1-ARCH and is pretty much default : - CFLAGS="-march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2" CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"

The package compiles fine on my machine. It might be a specific problem on your installation related to CFLAGS variable.

ld: build/hijri.o: relocation R_X86_64_32 against `.rodata.str1.1' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC build/hijri.o: could not read symbols: Bad value make: *** [build/libitl.so] Error 1 To get around PIC, error, add this to PKGBUILD export CFLAGS="-fPIC -march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2"
