Dear all - please kindly uninstall kipi-plugins, libkipi and libmediawiki-git, because they are defunct, deprecated, and not used or supported by any application.

KDE's Gwenview and Spectacle stopped supporting libkipi since KDE Gear release 22.04.0.

That's why Arch dropped this package in April 2022 to AUR, as from then on, no KDE Gear apps in their repo works with this library.

new version available.

Switching over to the KDE GitLab might solve the issue with download.kde.org mirrors not replicating the tar for certain geographies and preventing some people from accessing the source.

I think there are no more releases created for download.kde.org, but the GitLab repo does continue to have release tags it seems:

To anyone having issues: I have a simple fix for your woes.

Open Terminal then run bmenu. Select 1: Package Manager UI Select Z: Fix Fix Pacman Errors.

Once any potential errors are fixed, go into Package Manager UI again and select 1: Update System

By this stage it should prompt you to import/update the missing PGP keys and complete the install.

Hope this helps anyone out there struggling.

How could I verify the integrity of these GPG keys?

dbidwell94 commented on 2022-05-17 21:34 (UTC)

@cmatzenbach I was able to fix by using the pamac GUI where it then request I import the requested GPG keys. 3 in total.

I am having the exact same issue as @dbidwell94 when trying to upgrade with pamac:

==> Validating source files with sha256sums...
    libkipi-22.04.0.tar.xz ... Passed
    libkipi-22.04.0.tar.xz.sig ... Skipped
==> Verifying source file signatures with gpg...
libkipi-22.04.0.tar.xz ... cat: write error: Broken pipe
FAILED
==> ERROR: One or more PGP signatures could not be verified!
Finished with result: exit-code
Main processes terminated with: code=exited/status=1

Any ideas on how to resolve this? I went ahead and manually imported all the PGP keys from the PKGBUILD but it didn't help.
