The same happens to me:

Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.82.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.11.19-1-MANJARO OS Type: 64-bit Graphics Platform: X11

For some reason, on my system (Manjaro), this package attempts to update to 6.9.12.12-2, but after successfully compiling, etc., remains at 6.9.12.12.1... causing it to go into an endless cycle of attempting to update to 6.9.12.12.2.

Recommendations?

@haawda: It was like that when it was dropped from the repos. There used to be a split package.

Why do you define pkgbase? It is meant for split packages, this one is not split.

@bkb: I see there are RPM releases, so maybe.

Can you make a pre-compiled version (libmagick6-bin?)?

Hi, why have this orphaned?? Orphaned AUR Packages: libmagick6

I have the same problem like @potens

Resolved it by building in a clean chroot. However, @xuanruiqi, you should make it possible to upgrade without involving clean chroot

I also stumbled across an issue during packaging. It seemed like a Makefile was outdated had to be recreated. Strangely I couldn't reproduce the error, both simply retrying and clean rebuilding both worked afterwards.

I know nothing about Manjaro, and I can't help with Manjaro issues in general. Try using makepkg and/or building in a clean chroot.
