Great PKGBUILD! Congratulations.

The only problem what I see is the Linux dependency. As I'd like to remove the Linux package (I'm using linux-lts, so I'm removing the standard linux to simplify the manteinance), I needed to modify to remove this dependency.

@sb56637 : I can see multiple ways of doing this (adding an option in the PKGBUILD to switch branches and label the new package as an alpha product) or adding a whole new package to the AUR called libreoffice-testing. The former would have issues with updating (updates for the package would coincide with updates to the release packages instead of with the testing packages); the latter will require a little more maintenance from me and cluttering the AUR with more packages.

Before I consider doing what you ask, I'd like to ask why you want to install an alpha version of libreoffice without compiling from git? Usually developers work on alpha versions of software (and hence have to repeatedly recompile the package) when they change the source.

@bluerider: Thanks for the tip. I did see libreoffice-git, but LibreOffice is such a massive codebase that I would prefer to just use their pre-compiled binaries if possible. That's why I like this libreoffice-rpm package. But it would be nice to have an option to switch to a user-specified beta or RC.

@sb56637 : If you'd like to install an alpha version of libreoffice I suggest you compile it from git with my other libreoffice package :

Hi, thanks a lot for this useful package. Could you please provide an easy option in the PKGBUILD to install a specified testing version as well? Thanks!

The libreoffice file server seems to be very slow. It is perhaps wise to download the rpm files via the libreoffice torrent instead and put them in the PKGBUILD directory.
