"git+https://github.com/libretro/libretro-common.git" needs to be added to source and
prepare() { cd "${_gitname}" git submodule init git config submodule.libretro-common.url "${_gitname}"/deps/libretro-common git submodule update }

Doesn't build in this form, has to init/use git submodule first...
