I've added the simavr package which includes libs and includes out of the box.
The Makefile actually supports an install target which does the entire installation without doing everything manually. Maybe you'd like to merge this package back into simavr-git?

Makefile patch is broken. I had to remove it to get the build to start, but then had a problem with the build (tail of the make http://pastebin.com/pfjnn8rW)

Can't find the bit that causes the problem with the mega128. In my opinion it should work, but it doesn't...

Thanks for your response. I will try to fix it. There are also some new changes in the makefile of simavr so the patches in general seem to fail.

Hey, it seems there were some changes to the makefiles, and one target (mega128) would not compile, so I disabled that target and generated an updated patch to get it to compile for me: (basically it's your makefile.patch updated, plus the change to disable the mega128) Hope it helps!

It's an extended version of the simavr-git package whichs adds support for using libsimavr.
See https://ingo.orgizm.net/blog/articles/2012-02-25-libsimavr-package-for-arch-linux and https://ingo.orgizm.net/blog/articles/2012-02-21-capturing-waveforms-with-simavr why this could be useful.
