@sythagen newer libtiff is for libtiff.so.6, not for so.5. Please do not flag-out-of-date for this reason.

I need libtiff5 for hylafaxplus with include, lib, fax bin, preserved with only conflicting files removed. I have reworked the PKGBUILD to compile hylafaxplus. If you want to leave the package as is for already compiled software I can integrate libtiff5 into hylafaxplus.

Nice, the photo editing software from https://www.photo.leclerc/ was working only with libtiff5 (not 4 or 6).
