Figured it out. This package won't compile if you still have libva-headless 2.5 installed, and my AUR helper was trying to update both at the same time. Installing libva-headless 2.6 first allows this to compile fine.

What kind of errors do you get? I tried to build it in clean space again, worked for me. Verify that these are not artifacts from existing build files, if you have any.

Version 2.6.0-1 fails compilation for me with multiple errors inside /vainfo/vainfo.c.
