There are problems with STRIPOPT in configure and configure_tests.sh trashing i.e. LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O2". I've just added this to the Gentoo tree, take a look at the patch http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/media-libs/libXcm/files/libXcm-0.4.2-buildsystem.patch?revision=1.1&view=markup as possible solution

I get an error "No targets defined and no makefile was found. Stopping", and it won't compile. Running Arch x86_64

add line "unset LDFLAGS" before "configure" line in PKGBUILD please, or it may not compile just like @travnick encountered.

it doesn't complie: dso link option: -L !!! ERROR libX11 is missed !!! ERROR libXfixes is missed !!! ERROR libXmu is missed
