I can't seem to be able to set any hotkeys for anything. When i try to set the Print key to any of the capture methods, i get the error: mod: "print" Key added: Qt::Key(Key_Print) Invalid hotkey: key conversion is not defined And the program crashes. This happens even without Print being set to anything in the xfce settings. In fact, i seem to get the same error no matter which key i choose. I also did try to reinstall and delete lightscreen cache and configs.

@LuigiR0jas, Thanks for letting me know. All of the hotkeys work for me except for the "Full Screen" one -- for some reason no matter which I choose for that it won't work. But I can use all the others (active window, select area, etc.). Of course, that's still a pain. Can you be more specific about which ones aren't working for you? Also, please try deleting the cache and config files as I mentioned a while back, that sometimes seems to solve these problems. I'll consider filing a bug report about it. Might be a good idea to try this in master and see if it works there, maybe I can cherry-pick a commit to fix it. Chris

Hello, I had the same issue as @davidmcinnis, and uncheking the default hotkey solved the problem. The thing is I actually want to use hotkeys as they're faster to use, so isn't there another way to solve this?

Deleting the config file at .config/K/Lightscreen.conf fixed it. Thanks!

@davidmcinnis, I get the same error code with a segfault. However, it appears for me that one thread crashes and another continues running in the background, allowing me to use the program. Here's what I recommend trying: (1) pacman -Rdd lightscreen and reinstall. (2) Delete cache and configs associated with lightscreen, located at ~/.config/K/Lightscreen.conf and ~/.cache/K (3) Get rid of the default hotkey for Print (uncheck it). Let me know if that helps. Failing that, if this is a crucial program for you (as it has become for me) you could downgrade in the meantime to 2.0 or 2.1.

The program is crashing at launch. I get 139 for the return value. -Dave

@davidmcinnis, Thanks for letting me know. I got this error too. Try getting rid of that default hotkey in the "Options" menu, that seems to have fixed it for me. Is it stopping you from running or using the application?

I get the following error: $ lightscreen mod: "print" Key added: Qt::Key(Key_Print) Invalid hotkey: key conversion is not defined

Updated to 2.2, please let me know if you find any problems. I recommend resetting all your keyboard shortcuts to the defaults and re-applying them. Not doing this has given me some problems, which were fixed by resetting the shortcuts. Chris

Hi @frankyboy, Thanks for catching this! Including it in the file index should copy it to the source directory, so you're correct that it should only be up one directory. Fixed. Chris
