Sorry @eldios, this must have been a problem on my end. Clearing my cache and rebuilding worked flawlessly. For some reason, my AUR helper must have been comparing the sha256 of the old binary to the new sum from your latest change.

In the latest update to 2.9.2 the PKGBUILD did not get updated, only the .SRCINFO.

I believe this package should have a "-bin" suffix in the name. Packages without such suffix are expected to build the binary from source instead of installing a prebuilt one
