@lilmike This issue is related only to linphonec which is the console mode, the GUI is working fine.

I've tried compiling the package without specify the /opt/linphone-desktop directory (ignoring the patch linphone-desktop.patch and linphone.patch) and it works but only if I leave it and execute the command without moving it to /opt.

I guess the issue is caused by some of its dependencies which requires adjust the patch in some way. If you want you could install the package which is the stable version 4.1.1 for linphone-desktop or even which is the version 3.12.0 for linphone and the linphonec command runs OK in both packages. While I'll try to fix the package in order to run linphonec.

@frealgagu it gives me can't find a library error which is in its custom lib or lib64 directory.

@lilmike why do you need to export LD_LIBRARY_PATH pointing to /opt/linphone-desktop ? What happens if you only execute /opt/linphone-desktop/bin/linphonec ?

lilmike commented on 2018-11-17 16:26

I'm getting an error when running linphonec from this package. I export the PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variables to point to the /opt/linphone-desktop/<...> directories, then run linphonec, and get this:

2018-11-17 08:24:04:084 belr-error-Could not load grammar vcard_grammar because the file could not be located.

2018-11-17 08:24:04:084 bctbx-fatal-Unable to load VCARD grammar.

Aborted (core dumped)

Any thoughts? It looks like there needs to be some environment variable pointing to /opt/linphone-desktop/share, but I'm not sure what. -Michael.

@frealgagu (refering to alfredo.arditos problem): at this point in the makepkg process the rewriting of pkgver happens:

... patching file submodules/linphone/CMakeLists.txt ==> Starting pkgver()... sed: -e expression #1, char 16: Invalid range end ==> Updated version: linphone-desktop-all-git r3191.afb842ae-1 ==> Starting build()...

PKGBUILD before and after is the same except this one line: before: pkgver=4.1.1.r620.e8956256 after: pkgver=r3191.afb842ae

@cybertron /opt/linphone-desktop/bin/linphone is the bin file, but you should be able to find it in you applications menu. Notice that it is named linphone not linephone.

cybertron commented on 2018-10-08 11:15

Hm what is the bin file of that package? linephone not.. :)

@frealgagu I'll try to build the package on a brand-new PC and let u know

it builds successfully after the last commit but the version built is linphone-desktop-all-git r3156.3b197015-1 and not the 4.1.1.r571.da77d41e-1
