JFYI, for those wondering why the latest version is being downloaded from somewhere an invalid certificate, LInphone reports their servers have been compromised.

When I visited https://linphone.org/releases/linux/latest_app to try to get the AppImage manually, I was greeted by this message:

Coming soon...

The download area of linphone.org is currently down.

On Feb 3rd 2023, one of the company server has been compromised because of a malicious computer attack.

Other services are unavailable.

Our team is working hard on restoring all the services from latest backups.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

@rd0xb: I guess you have downloaded only the PKGBUILD instead of running "git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/linphone-desktop-appimage.git".
