I will be switching this AUR package to stable releases as the package name does not reflect the fact that it is currently shipping alpha/beta nightly builds.

At the time when I started this package there were no stable AppImage releases available, hence I went with nightlies. I just happened to learn about the stable builds, so here we go.

This will cause a downgrade of the package, I apologize for this.

For the next to come along, the maintainer has a patch for alpha 98 in his inbox.

I am seeing core dumps on startup: https://pastebin.com/EV3iNMGc

Application is only shown for about 1 second then closes.

This is the only linphone AUR package that appears to install for me. Thank you.

The current version alpha.33 works for me on NVIDIA. Please test.

Using it on amdgpu and does not work either, so its probably not related to the GPU at all.

I have uploaded 4.3.0-alpha.3 to http://arch.midov.pl/linphone.AppImage in case some of you want to downgrade yet don't have backups. Make sure not to blindly trust me and confirm sha256sum on your own though.

Well, that's bad. None of the versions that are still downloadable from their snapshots directory seem to work for me (NVIDIA graphics, proprietary driver).

Debug mode doesn't say anything either, apart from complaining about non-existing buddy lists.

I guess we will need to report this upstream. Last time they were very friendly and helpful, maybe it's going to be a quick fix.

Very unfortunate that I can't downgrade the package in the meantime, though.

Nope, also doesn't work for me. Intel graphics.
