Thank you so much for the quick response, Luflosi! I just updated my kernel/headers to 5.10.2 and it works! I previously had 5.9.16, and I think the headers hadn't installed properly for whatever reason even though I had run the command earlier and didn't remember it erroring out. Still a bit on the green side of all of this, and trying to learn as much as I can from the wiki and everyone here so I really appreciate the help!

It compiles fine for me with Linux 5.10.4. What error message did you get?

Hello, I'm a bit new here so I wanted to apologize in advance if I'm not following the proper protocol, but has this been updated to build on any of the newer kernel versions (5.9+)? It wasn't working for me last night when I tried, so I'm considering downgrading my kernel if it hasn't been updated.

I confirmed that this now builds on the 5.8 kernel. Thank you for your comment and patch anyways.

sperg512 commented on 2020-08-04 19:28

Because this fails to build on the 5.8 kernel, I've made an updated PKGBUILD which fixes this, with a URL to a patch I made:

@Luflosi please add this if you can, feel free to add the .patch file to the directory here and change the PKGBUILD accordingly if you'd like.

EDIT: It seems like the repo maintainer (eafer) noticed this and will commit it (see It might not be necessary to add the patch once he commits.

EDIT 2: Deluxe Edition Remastered: eafer committed my patch and this is no longer necessary!

Gonna orphan this as I don't have an APFS partition anymore.

@ManU Thank you very much for the PKGBUILD! I've adopted your version and changed several other stuffs.

I've also add your AUR ID to a Contributor line. Please tell me if you want to use something else than your ID (e.g., name + email).
