Anyone else getting a 404 error when running makepkg -s on this? It's failing here:

curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404
==> ERROR: Failure while downloading https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ptr1337/kernel-patches/master/5.16/0001-lqx-patches.patch
Aborting...

Confirmed, that file does not exists here: https://github.com/ptr1337/kernel-patches/tree/master/5.16

Any ideas?

Edit 2022-01-20: I checked this morning and the file that was missing from the github repo is now there. However, when I try to run makepkg -s I'm now seeing md5sum validity checks failing. See here:

Not sure why the md5sums are failing on some of those files. Any ideas?

Will be fixed with upcoming kernel. Will be released today, sorry.

Some patches don't pass the validity check, after I signed them manually, I got the following error:

==> ERROR: A failure occurred in prepare().

Yes, i changed some stuff at the patches. will be all again running with 5.15.13 push which should be released soon.

Take a watch here for more frequent updated PKGBUILD's

Ran into an issue building the package

curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404 ==> ERROR: Failure while downloading https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ptr1337/kernel-patches/master/5.15/0001-winesync.patch

Looks like the patch is actually located in: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ptr1337/kernel-patches/master/5.15/misc/0001-winesync.patch

@quasd

Thanks for the information. I could switch to LRU patches but they interact not good with the le9 patchset mostly. Probally just try to change to the lru patches.

Regards.

For anyone using zfs-dkms, the 0004-folio-mm.patch causes the kernel module compile to fail with following

/var/lib/dkms/zfs/2.1.99.r439.gab15b1fc0/build/module/zfs/../os/linux/zfs/zfs_vnops_os.c: In function ‘zfs_putpage’:
/var/lib/dkms/zfs/2.1.99.r439.gab15b1fc0/build/module/zfs/../os/linux/zfs/zfs_vnops_os.c:3534:33: error: implicit declaration of function ‘wait_on_page_bit’; did you mean ‘wait_on_bit’? [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration]
 3534 |                                 wait_on_page_bit(pp, PG_writeback);
      |                                 ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      |                                 wait_on_bit

Removing the 0004-folio-mm.patch from sources/md5sums can work around this.

@rossome

glad to hear about that, i also renamed the _use_optimzation to _use_auto_optimamazation , i think its more understandable with it.

I also build on a server all my kernels, so it was needed to.

Have fun!

@ptr1337 Thanks so much! I see the _use_optimization_select= variable in the PKGBUILD. This works a treat.
