@e.sovetkin: I'll put this as a warning :)

Just to make people here aware. There is some bug with cryptsetup and lts 4.1.18.

@clfarron4: Yes, indeed! Thanks! I had BUILDDIR in makepkg.conf specidied, and I didn't delete it the src there. Stupid mistake.

@e.sovetkin: Maybe you aren't cleaning out your build directory properly? I only get prepare errors if I don't clean out the /src build folder properly.

e.sovetkin commented on 2016-02-07 13:50

In PKGBUILD line 'patch -p1 -i "${srcdir}/patch-${pkgver}"' gives conflicts with the following files: tools/perf/arch/alpha/Build, tools/perf/arch/mips/Build, tools/perf/arch/parisc/Build. (files already exist)

Line 'patch -Np1 -i "${srcdir}/${_ckpatchname}" ' gives the following conflicts:
Documentation/scheduler/sched-BFS.txt, kernel/sched/bfs.c (skipping patch), kernel/sched/bfs_sched.h (skipping patch) and then after patching Makefile makepkg breaks with message "==> ERROR: A failure occurred in prepare()."

Actually sometimes the upstream patch works without problems... and I cannot compehend why. The BFS patch always breaks after patching Makefile.

UPD: I managed to build it, no problems with patch occur. I didn't figure out, what caused these random breaks in patches. Any ideas are welcome.

@e.sovetkin: Prepared fine in my chroot environment - http://pastebin.com/2aJDBYmn

Could you please elaborate further about where it fails?

e.sovetkin commented on 2016-02-07 09:32

There seems to be some problem with the upstream patch. Prepare reports some patching conflicts with existing files.

The sha512sum for enable_additional_cpu_optimizations_for_gcc_v4.9+_kernel_v3.15+.patch.gz seems to have changed, so please update the PKGBUILD.

@Roberth: Is it still required for 4.1.11? The official package and linux-ck 4.1.11 removed it, unless we are all missing something.

Why was 0000-fix_potential_deadlock_in_reqsk_queue_unlink.patch removed?
