@frostwork yes, it works. I've been compiling a couple of kernels with ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/linux-xanmod/myconfig and it's fine. Thanks again for the suggestion.

@figure, Thank you for maintaining this package!
I can confirm that ccc3ce5e4b83 works fine with a script "${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/linux-xanmod/myconfig" applying custom kernel patches, so I assume a full custom config works as well.

@nloewen Can you confirm that ccc3ce5e4b83 works? A myconfig file in $startdir has preference over ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/linux-xanmod/myconfig

@nloewen seems a good idea. Will be added for sure.

I'm using Yay, and would like to make sure that "myconfig" doesn't get lost in any automated build directory cleaning. Would it be possible to add something like ~/.config/linux-xanmod/myconfig
as a fallback path so it can be kept in a safe directory? This would also be good for anyone doing builds in a temp directory.

@figue
Thanks the export function worked. I am not sure, tried the makepkg even when it was 10.5 with manually editing the pkgbuild, however it gave me the error. General yay update works without a problem, but only updates for generic cpu.

@agamemnon failure occurred in prepare? What happened?
With yay, you can try to export as global variable, for instance "export _microarchitecture=42"

@figue
I tried running
, however I am unable to edit the pkgbuild prior to installation. If I download the pkgbuild and manually change the architecture, it reverts back to 0 or doesn't run the pkgbuild.yay --editmenu -S linux-xanmod
I always get the error if I run
env _microarchitecture=42 makepkg -sic
where the pkgbuild is locate.
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in prepare().
figue commented on 2021-01-20 13:15 (UTC)
@agamemnon just define in the terminal the variable _microarchitecture to your desired value, for example:
env _microarchitecture=42 makepkg -sic
That will build for native.

how I can i edit the results from gcc-optimization? It defaults to the generic cpu, but I know my cpu microarchitecture, and I can't manually edit it.

Adding
to myconfig does solve the "Failed to insert module 'nvidia': Key was rejected by service" problem.
Anyone who configured secure boot using sbctl and want to load dkms modules can try this solution.

This package have several variables to enable/disable features.
Personally I'm running now xanmod kernel compiled with this:
Also, you can now create the file myconfig in your local repo to build this package with a custom config or use ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/linux-xanmod/myconfig. This file can be a full kernel config or be a script with several entries to add/remove options (you have several examples in PKGBUILD by using scripts/config):
Code involved:
