@BlitGaming of course not. You need to edit /etc/makepkg.conf to use them by default.

The core is assembled by one core, although I have 8 threads, native processor optimizations are not applied by default.

@figue Oh great. Ill do that then. Thanks alot

@damdam_kr hi. After you did your menuconfig, save your new generated .config and save it as myconfig file or in "${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/linux-xanmod/myconfig". This way, this config will be used automatically by makepkg.

Hi, is there a way to just upgrade the base part? For example, I configured the kernel, did a menuconfig, then when new update, it will just upgrade instead of re-compiling?

@figue Thanks for the info, and thanks for keep maintaining this PKGBUILD
figue commented on 2022-01-14 14:48 (UTC)
@k0r0ng I think it's equal. Please, read the info directly from upstream patch (included in xanmod): https://github.com/graysky2/kernel_compiler_patch

@figue Oh. Last question (perhaps), what different CONFIG_MNATIVE_*
in this config and -march=native
in makepkg.conf
?
figue commented on 2022-01-13 08:38 (UTC)
@k0r0ng CONFIG_MNATIVE_* are included in clang config. So I think it works.

Adding
to myconfig does solve the "Failed to insert module 'nvidia': Key was rejected by service" problem.
Anyone who configured secure boot using sbctl and want to load dkms modules can try this solution.

This package have several variables to enable/disable features.
Personally I'm running now xanmod kernel compiled with this:
Also, you can now create the file myconfig in your local repo to build this package with a custom config or use ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/linux-xanmod/myconfig. This file can be a full kernel config or be a script with several entries to add/remove options (you have several examples in PKGBUILD by using scripts/config):
Code involved:
