This doesn't show up in Reaper for me - any ideas?

@KEVLAR do the precompiled binaries (https://github.com/osxmidi/LinVst/releases) work for you? Could you post the messages that are printed on the console output when you try to use a linvst plugin the first the since you started your DAW/host?

I don't understand why linvst isn't working at all. I tried differents things. NO way on arch. On debian buster it's working perfectly.

Sadly linvst does not work for me. I switched to airwave. It worked directly without workarounds.

Please add git to makedepends.

Thanks to @donvla, linvst is now build from source.
linvst.so is now placed under /usr/lib/vst/
@funkmuscle i cant reproduce that. Is that still a problem?

@donvla still failed to build: ==> Validating source files with sha256sums... LinVst ... Skipped vstsdk369_01_03_2018_build_132.zip ... Passed ==> Extracting sources... -> Creating working copy of LinVst git repo... Cloning into 'LinVst'... done. -> Extracting vstsdk369_01_03_2018_build_132.zip with bsdtar ==> Starting prepare()... ==> Starting pkgver()... Usage: sed [OPTION]... {script-only-if-no-other-script} [input-file]...
-n, --quiet, --silent suppress automatic printing of pattern space -e script, --expression=script add the script to the commands to be executed -f script-file, --file=script-file add the contents of script-file to the commands to be executed --follow-symlinks follow symlinks when processing in place -i[SUFFIX], --in-place[=SUFFIX] edit files in place (makes backup if SUFFIX supplied) -l N, --line-length=N specify the desired line-wrap length for the `l' command --posix disable all GNU extensions. -E, -r, --regexp-extended use extended regular expressions in the script (for portability use POSIX -E). -s, --separate consider files as separate rather than as a single, continuous long stream. --sandbox operate in sandbox mode. -u, --unbuffered load minimal amounts of data from the input files and flush the output buffers more often -z, --null-data separate lines by NUL characters --help display this help and exit --version output version information and exit
If no -e, --expression, -f, or --file option is given, then the first non-option argument is taken as the sed script to interpret. All remaining arguments are names of input files; if no input files are specified, then the standard input is read.
GNU sed home page: <http://www.gnu.org/software/sed/>. General help using GNU software: <http://www.gnu.org/gethelp/>. ==> ERROR: pkgver is not allowed to be empty. ==> ERROR: pkgver() generated an invalid version: :: Unable to build linvst - makepkg exited with code: 1

Here is a working PKGBUILD: http://pasted.co/4db87e02
Maybe there are more dependencies needed.

I tried it, but it never worked. I get exceptions like:
wine: Unhandled exception 0xc06d007e in thread 12 at address 0x7b44c907 (thread 0012), starting debugger...
Most likely it needs to be compiled with wine 32bit gcc which does not seems to be that easy.
Btw this is the PKGBUILD I used, if you get it working, i'm open to change over to using source: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/31f22875a29f8a8a73c075b5fd36222a
