I've been trying to build lmms-git after an update and I've come across an error while cloning qt5-x11embed (home directory redacted):

fatal: transport 'file' not allowed
fatal: clone of '<HOME>/.cache/paru/clone/lmms-git/src/qt5-x11embed' into submodule path '<HOME>/.cache/paru/clone/lmms-git/src/lmms/src/3rdparty/qt5-x11embed' failed
Failed to clone 'src/3rdparty/qt5-x11embed'. Retry scheduled

After reading this website:

the fix I found was to change the git submodule update line in the PKGBUILD to:

git -c protocol.file.allow=always submodule update

It worked here, but I'm not sure if it's the best way.

After last update to new version of libcarla (2.4.3) CarlaBase plugin is not building. There are some details and patch available at FreeBSD bugzilla:

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=263502

Using this info i was able to build it and run successfully.

This is an upstream problem. Can't do anything about it as a packager. See: https://github.com/lukas-w/qt5-x11embed/issues/3 and https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/issues/5302

On yay after yay -Syu I still shows an update even after a cleanBuild upgraded lmms-git (seems like package release version is broken).

I get:
