This is missing libsamplerate and sndio in makedepends.

since arch introduced WoW64-enabled wine, 32-bit VSTs have not been working in LMMS. please add wine32 to optdepends, since that variant has WoW64 disabled and thus works with 32-bit VST plugins.

Please add qt5-svg to makedepends(), without it, I get:

Can we use cmake --build . or specify that this PKGBUILD uses the Make generator with -G Make? Because currently it assumes that the generator is always Make on the system, which doesn't work when the environment has a different default generator configured.

If I'm not mistaken, the sdl dependency can be replaced with sdl2? https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/pull/7443

How come this version needs wine but the arch linux extra package doesn't?
