Just updated from version 8.4 and new version does not start, nothing gets logged to the logfile
running as a vm on proxmox
I have tried running the command from the service definition from the command line and get the following output
========================================================================
[root@Lms]# /opt/logitechmediaserver/slimserver.pl --prefsdir /opt/logitechmediaserver/prefs --cachedir /opt/logitechmediaserver/cache
The following modules failed to load: XML::Parser::Expat JSON::XS YAML::XS Sub::Name
This is perl 5, version 38, subversion 2 (v5.38.2) built for x86_64-linux-thread-multi

If 8.5 is outdated by the time you read this, Replace "8.5" with the major version You should never need to do this if you're on Windows or Mac OSX. If the installers don't work for you, ask for help and/or report a bug.
Exiting..
but i think the perl modules failing to load is a red herring as they are in the cpan folder /opt/logitechmediaserver/CPAN but its the only evidence I have
is there any way to get more information about the failure
or does anyone have any other suggestions to try

I install on rpi5 but it still shows 8.4.0:(
stef.an commented on 2024-05-11 09:27 (UTC)
I've updated the package to 8.5.1, it builds fine on amd64 and starts up, no more tests done. Good luck :)

I'm running 8.5.1 (latest release) just modified pkver to 8.5.1 and
sha256sums=('4629f7eff1f70542de71bf3791cdaa9b2521c5a1d5b80f8495efce2742f907c2' '21ab3699ed77abd641ac66b5627fcfa877cb2fad5a24d80cd0dfcc13da58ecfb' '1b89638a18511e02a298bde20bb6a6608d92fd4c1ec89028475bd569e324cb67')
Going to need some surgery later to change the name to Lyrion but working fine for now. Not using deezer myself but Tidal works better than before.
sadays commented on 2024-05-02 08:01 (UTC)
@agora
forum friends add deezer local, but it requires lms 8.5 or higher to work
Tidal local has no problems
agora commented on 2024-05-01 20:13 (UTC)
@sadays, 8.5 or 8.5.2 is not going to help you to access Deezer. With mysqueezebox.com gone, there is no more Deezer support - unless a miracle has happened in the last 10 days that I have not heard about.

The source is here but I can't configure arch linux https://lyrion.org/lms-server-repository/
